Business plan outline: how to develop a business plan
The above business plan outline is a "bare bones" form of what will be a crucially important business document in the development of your new business.
While part of a business plan can be written by anyone moderately knowledgeable in the area, there are some detailed questions that can only be covered by yourself, the business owner:
- Business Plan: What and who is your competition for your business plan? Have you done any competitor business surveys?
- Business Plan: What is the industry for your product or service at this particular time and in this particular place? Have you done any business validation testing for your plan?
- What do you consider your unique selling point, which will differentiate you from the competition?
- Business Plan: What do you consider will be your most effective business strategy? Have you done any interviews with other business customers?
If you can answer questions like these, then your business plan will be far more convincing to venture capitalists!
Even more fundamentally, if you have a speedy answer to these questions, then the signs are good that your business idea has the potential to be successful.
If you can't answer these questions so well, then maybe you need to re-think the whole idea.
